Carbon projects transform landscapes by restoring forests and increasing biodiversity, while providing local communities with sustainable livelihoods. These initiatives reduce carbon emissions and also create lasting environmental and social benefits for future generations.
Carbon projects are initiatives that reduce carbon emissions by enhancing ecosystems, benefiting both the planet and local communities.
We help landowners transform their land into sustainable, profitable ecosystems through nature-based solutions.
Establishing a carbon project is easy with our expertise. We support you from concept to carbon credit issuance.
Green Earth has restoration projects globally, with a focus on Africa, which are built with local communities and farmers.
Global reforestation and ecosystem restoration demand extraordinary efforts, creating significant opportunities for investors and the capital markets. As a leading publicly traded company dedicated to environmental sustainability, Green Earth specialises in sourcing, funding, developing, and managing impactful projects that restore nature, enhance biodiversity, and support local communities.
We connect purpose-driven capital with impactful projects that make a real difference for people and the planet.
We source, fund, develop, and manage large-scale nature-based projects, combining tree-planting and restoration efforts with community involvement. This integrated model differentiates us from other carbon projects.
The Greenzone Reforestation Project in Cameroon transforms degraded landscapes into thriving, productive ecosystems through large-scale tree planting.
We partner directly with local farmers and regional stakeholders to restore nature, revitalise biodiversity, and improve community livelihoods. This project delivers measurable climate action that benefits both the people working the land and the broader environmental and economic goals of the region.
It is very simple to start. First, you need to speak to your local Green Earth representative. We will ask you about your farm, including how many acres of land you have. Then we will visit your farm to see if your land is suitable for the project. Your land needs to be big enough and not recently cleared.
Yes, we do. We give you crop seedlings and native shade trees for free. We also provide free training and send experts to your farm to help you grow a better harvest. We organise and fund the project, handle the administration, and do the reporting. You own and keep all your harvests from the fruit and nut trees you plant, which you can then sell to earn more income.
If you are part of a project, you are responsible for planting and looking after the trees over the years for a long time. You must plant the seedlings correctly and follow the training programme. You must not cut down the planted trees. You also need to allow our team to visit your farm for guidance, regular checks, and audits. It is a long-term partnership where we both do our part.
Growing trees amongst your crops protects your soil and keeps your farm healthy. For example, if you plant cacao, you might wonder, "Will Green Earth buy my harvest in three years?" We do not buy the crops directly, but we do help you find good buyers. We work hard to make sure you have a safe, reliable market to sell your harvest when it is ready.
Our tree planting projects work by growing trees over many years. Green Earth funds the projects from the very start. As the trees grow and remain standing, they store a gas called carbon (CO2) from the air. Because they do this, the project can create what is called ‘carbon credits’. These credits can be sold in the future. This is what helps to fund the project and makes our long-term support for your farm possible.
Sometimes you might read the news and see that a project sold things called 'carbon credits' for a lot of money. Then you might wonder, "Where is my share of that cash?"
It is important to know that this money is what pays to keep the whole project running. It pays for your free seedlings, the field staff, the training, and the management. Your true benefit comes from getting all this free support, improving your land, and earning more money yourself from a bigger, better harvest.
